AI Workshop for Seniors with LovExtension at Tavares Library

Thanks to LovExtension manager, Mrs. Therese Nilssen, this session welcomed a wonderfully engaged group of seniors who came ready with real questions: how AI can support health and wellness, help stay connected with family, and above all, how to navigate the internet safely and confidently

We talked through simple, practical ways AI shows up already, from voice assistants that can read messages aloud or set medication reminders, to tools that help spot suspicious emails and phone scams before they cause harm.

The conversation kept coming back to one theme: technology should feel like a helping hand, not a hurdle. Every question the audience asked, whether about staying in touch with grandchildren through video calls or recognizing a phishing attempt, showed just how ready this community is to use these tools wisely.
